This winter we are offering two new writing contests: One for parents, teachers, and other adults ages eighteen and over & one for students and kids! In past contests, we have selected winners from each grade cluster; however, in this contest, winners will NOT be selected according to grade or age. There will be TWO winners chosen for each contest (2 adults, 2 kids). Winning entries will be chosen based on imagination, creativity, and consideration of contest rules! Winners will receive a signed item from the Patricia Polacco Online Store. Prizes will be determined by Patricia Polacco and the contest judges and may possibly be t-shirts, tote bags, books, or mugs. Students, please be sure that you follow the guidelines for the "Kid Contest," and NOT the "Adult Contest." Details are below. GOOD LUCK!
ADULT CONTEST (ages 18+): We have received many requests to offer a writing contest for adults similar to the "Tell Us a Story" Writing Contest that is offered to students each summer. Please submit an original short story. You may write about anything you wish (in consideration of contest rules). Be as creative and imaginative as possible! Winning stories will be published on the Web only. You will retain all rights.
KID CONTEST (open to anyone under the age of 18): Please submit an original poem, short story, or essay about one of the following subjects: "When I grow up, I want to be..."
"Over the holiday break I did..."
"My favorite thing to do is..."
"I love ______, because..."

Please be sure to read the rules below!
