The Question:
Tell me about your brother or sister (or if you are an only child, your best friend). How is that person important to you?
Here are some responses!
Name: Ashley
Answer: "My little sister is important to me because without her I would be very lonely all of the time."
Name: Zoe
Answer: "My name is Zoe and I have two little brothers. One is Robert and he is 5 years old. The other one is Mario and he is 4 years old. They are both going to turn a year older in Jan. My brothers can really get me upset. But I still love them. I really think that they are cute and loveable. They get me mad but they know and I know that we love each other."
Name: Alex
Answer: "I have known Libby and Emma since I was two years old. They are my best friends. They make me feel special because I can do and say things that I can't with anyone else. We used to see each other a lot but I moved from Ithaca, then they moved to Utah this year. We see each other once a year but we always have fun."
Name: Lydia
Answer: "My best friend, Cheryl O'Neill, is the sister I never had. We have known each other since college (27 years!) and have been though much sunshine and some rain together. She is important to me because she completes me in a way no one in my life ever has. Only a "sister" would love me, warts and all, and understand me as my dear husband never could. We have laughed through the many stages of our lives - as roommates in college pulling all kinds of shenanigans; as young adults falling in love with men and being lucky enough to have our marriages endure while many around us faltered; as parents facing the challenges of raising children of faith in a sometimes-faithless world; and now, as women in middle age, acknowledging that we don't see as well as we used to, that our tummies can't handle junk food, and that we really do need our beauty sleep. My "sister" Cheryl gives me a sense of my own history, as she's the one golden thread that runs through the tapestry that is my life."
Name: Cedric
Answer: "My sister was a one pound premature baby. She was only suppose to live for a month, then 5 years, but God gave her 19 years. She recently died May 2000 and it was hard for our family, but we were comforted in knowing that God gave her extra time to be with us that we would have never had. I love her and miss her, but I know that she is in a better place where her problems that she had on earth are no more."
